Ghosts and Curses in the Bible

By its nature the Bible is a supernatural book and it shouldn’t be surprising that ghosts and spirits are frequent subjects as well as a number of unusual curses being placed in the holy work.  The fact that warnings are given in the pages of Scripture about dealing with spirits in itself reveals that these beings are considered real.  Otherwise, why bother to be concerned with them? There are many occasions when special tactics and talismans are used by the ancient Israelites, such as by the Keepers of the Thresholds, whose task was to ward off evil spirits. One of the oldest ghost stories is about Saul visiting the Witch of Endor to have her call up the spirit of Samuel for him.
