J.P. Varshney a renowned veterinarian with a unique blend of academic, research and clinical experience of more than 58 years, is still busy in his clinical pursuits at Nandini Veterinary Hospital, Surat (Gujarat). Though trained in modern veterinary medicine, his research work on “Evaluation of homeopathic drugs in the management of various animal diseases” at premier Indian Veterinary Research Institute, not only sensitized veterinarians to Homeopathy in Veterinary Mdicine but also led to submission of few post graduate theses; publication of research papers in reputed journals (Homeopathy, Homoeopathic Links. International Journal of Classical Homeopathy, American Journal of Homeopathic Medicine, Homeopathy 4 Every One, Journal of Case Studies in Homeopathy, Indian Veterinary Journal, Indian Journal of Veterinary Medicine): a book on the “Research Findings -Homeopathic Bio efficacy and Management of Animal Health” : and many scientific and lead presentations in national and international conferences including World Homeopathic Summit-2015, Asian conference-2011, Liga-2010 and 2011, All India Homeopathic Conference 2014,National workshop on Alternate Medicine, Nagpur-2005, International Homeopathic Conferences (St. Petersburg, Canada, New Delhi), and many more. He has recently been honored at “New Frontiers in Homeopathy, a national conference - 3rd HOMEOPATHY VIJNANA SAMMELAN, Ahmedabad - 2023. Presently he has been nominated as a member Special Committee for Fundamental Research in Homoeopathy at Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, New Delhi. He has been bestowed with as many as 37 awards and honors including best teacher award, gold medals, and life time achievement awards. Besides publications in national and international journals of repute, he has eight books in the specialty of Veterinary Medicine at his credit.
