She has written extensively on Mexican politics and is author of Women and Politics in Latin America. - MAXINE MOLYNEUX is Professor of Sociolocy at the Institute of Latin American Studies, University of London. Her recent publications include Women's Movements in International Perspective: Latin America and Beyond and Hidden Histories of Gender and the State in Latin America (co-edited with E.Dore).
