“The book targets physicians in training or in practice sitting for a pain certification exam. It also can be a good source of information for any physicians who manage patients with chronic pain. … The main theme of this one is brevity and the main audience is people interested in a book that can help them pass pain certification examinations. It's a quick read, with brief chapters that provide information in simple, clear text.” (Tariq M. Malik, Doody's Book Reviews, April, 2018)“Fundamentals of Pain Medicine provides a concise overview of the physiological mechanisms, etiologies, and appropriate management of a multitude of pain states that is easy to read and comprehend. The text is extremely practical in its delivery of recommendations, including both pharmacological and more complementary and integrative techniques.” (Caitlin D. Tourje,Anesthesia & Analgesia, Vol. 128 (1), February, 2019)
