Dr. Balachandar Vellingiri currently is investigating various neurological diseases and developing human induced pluripotent stem cells (HiPSCs). Exploring the cutting-edge molecular, cellular, and translational neuroscience approaches, he aims to unravel disease mechanisms, identify therapeutic targets, and develop innovative interventions to slow or reverse neurological diseases. His expertise is on several techniques such as molecular cytogenetics, pathway analysis, and techniques in developing HiPSCs and Brain organoids, especially for neurological diseases. Dr. Mahalaxmi Balachandar is a researcher, currently involved in handling neurological disorder patients and conducting genetic and epigenetic studies. Her expertise is in handling bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) as a promising therapeutic agent for LHON disease.
