Clive Watson has over three decades of entrepreneurialexperience in the pub and hospitality sector. He has founded and sold on twovery successful premium pub groups. He was educated at Epsom College then went on to readModern History and International Relations at Reading University andsubsequently qualified as Chartered Accountant. His earlier finance career tookhim into the hospitality business. In 2013 Clive took an MA in International History, andthis was followed by a Masters at Cambridge University - gaining a distinctionwith his dissertation on the Conservative Party attitudes towards Scottishdevolution.He has been a member of the Conservative European Forum,campaigned for Remain in the referendum and supported the Right to Votecampaign financially.He currently holds various non-executive charman rolesmainly related to the hospitality industry.Clive won the Industry Lifetime Achievement award in 2025and has regularly appeared on Radio 4, Newsnight, LBC, Sky News and Panorama.His daughters, Lucy and Tiffany, were leading characters in the TV show Madein Chelsea with Clive making periodic appearances alongside them. Clive has four children and lives near Guildford andloves travelling.
