From Glory to Golgotha

Donald Macleod (1940–2023) was the Principal of the Free Church of Scotland College, Edinburgh until 2010. Regarded as one of Britain’s most prominent theologians he wrote extensively on a wide range of issues.

”I have been influenced by Dr. MacLeod’s writings for over forty years. No matter what the topic may be, one senses the precision of a pastor–theologian carefully analyzing his material to bring us to bow before a sovereign and gracious God, ‘lost in wonder, love and praise.’ Sure–footed, rich in biblical analysis, pastorally edifying, these ‘sound words’ provide a book to be read over and over.“Derek W. H. Thomas(Teaching Fellow, Ligonier Ministries; Retired Senior Minister, First Presbyterian Church (ARP), Columbia, South Carolina)”… passion and intensity, decades of study, deep theological reflection and serious polemical interaction, and even more, the heart of a believing theologian who knows he needs Christ and His Cross. If your prayer is ‘more love to Thee, O Christ,’ here is fuel for your devotion. Read and believe and worship.“Ligon Duncan(Chancellor and CEO, Reformed Theological Seminary)”Drawing on over 60 years of Biblical research, Donald Macleod is somehow able to magnificently and adoringly expound the mysteries of Christ with a skill which will not only educate, but draw his readers closer to the unfathomable realities of what God did in sending his Son.  “Iver Martin(Principal, Edinburgh Theological Seminary, Edinburgh, Scotland)
