First launched in 1972, the Ford Granada was Ford’s big executive saloon for three decades. It featured better styling and overall appeal than the previous Zephyr models. This book follows the development of the three versions of the Granada until production ceased in 1998. The Granada was initially produced as a joint project between Ford UK at Dagenham and Ford Germany in Cologne but production was moved exclusively to Germany for the later models. The launch of the Mk II version in 1977 revealed sharp styling that became a theme across the Ford range during the late 1970s. By 1985 and the launch of the Mk III, Ford had moved to a more aerodynamic styling theme, reminiscent of the Ford Sierra. For all versions of the Granada, the book covers both saloon and estate cars as well as European variations and conversions. Also included are the top of the range Ghia models. The Ford Granada is widely seen at classic car shows today and this book is an essential read for both owners and enthusiasts.
