‘The book makes a strong contribution to the study of the long-term effects of conflict and displacement in a complex region. It opens the door for more study on trauma and resilience strategies, taking into account not just the crisis event, but also the full life narrative and complexity of the individual in their social setting, going beyond the simple labels of IDP, refugee, or returnee.’
