Santiago Castro-Gómez is Associate Professor at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. His work focuses on political philosophy, Latin American philosophy and cultural theory. He was a co-founding member of the Modernity/Coloniality group, alongside Aníbal Quijano, Walter Mignolo, Enrique Dussel, Catherine Walsh, Ramón Grosfoguel, Edgardo Lander, and Arturo Escobar, among others. He is the author of Crítica de la razón latinoamericana (1996), La hybris del punto cero (2005), Tejidos Oníricos (2009), Revoluciones sin sujeto (2015), and La rebeliónantropológica (2022). In English, he has published Critique of Latin American Reason (2021) and Zero Point Hubris (2021).
