Fawn

In 1987, Fawn Hall’s name entered the national conversation when she became a key witness during the Iran-Contra hearings. At just 27, the former National Security Council secretary found herself pulled from a private role in Washington into a public story she never sought. Her testimony made her a familiar face overnight, but the headlines were only the beginning of a much larger and more personal journey. What followed was a move to Los Angeles, marriage to a bestselling author and rock ’n’ roll manager, and the highs and lows of Hollywood. For years, Fawn was content to step outside the political maelstrom and make the West Coast her home. But by 2020, now a widow and with her parents’ health failing, she returned to Virginia for what was meant to be a temporary stay in the old neighborhood—only to find politics more intense than ever, and the past beginning to come back into view. One day, while visiting a friend in the hospital, the door opened and in walked “Ollie.” They had not seen each other in decades. FAWN is an American story that bridges two coasts that share a similar essence: both LA and DC offer opportunities to make a difference if you can survive the ambushes along the way. It’s the story of a young woman who, early in life, found her purpose, lost it, accepted that it was gone forever… only to discover it once again. An American girl. An American journey. An American voice.
