Migration has implications for and is influenced by a variety of policy matters, one of which is environment. The publication identifies and discusses major issues and challenges in the field of migration and explores the two to way association between migration and the environment as well as the interaction of these phenomena with security. It states that in order to address the critical dimensions of the migration and environment nexus there is a need for improved data and more comprehensive research. The book suggests possible policy responses and interventions and concludes with lessons learned.
