Ian Hamilton Finlay is now recognised as one of the most important figures in Scottish literary history and as a world-leader in the concrete poetry movement. Professor Joanna Gavins is Chair in English Language and Literature at the University of Sheffield, where she teaches courses in cognitive linguistics, stylistics, and ecolinguistics.
