Recensioner i media
"Following an introduction by the editors, the book consists of nine essays by William Gavin, James Campbell, Jacquelyn Kegley, Michael Allen, Eugene Fontinell, Richard Hart, Paul Thompson, Arthur Lothstein, and John Ryder. An afterword and a complete bibliography of McDermott's writings complete the book. Recommended." -Choice "US scholars of philosophy analyze the ideas of colleague McDermott from such perspectives as locality in American culture and the American experience, the bite of the existential moment, landscape and person-scape in urban aesthetics, what it means to have an ethics, and the necessity of cultural pedagogy."John J. McDermott speaks more penetratingly and movingly for American experience than any philosopher of his generation." -Book News
