In 1993 he won the Governor General's Award and the Signet d'or for Les literatures de l'exiguïté. He is also author of Théories de la fragilité (1994). Lin Burman is a teacher of French and freelance translator. She holds an M.A. in translation studies from the School of Translation, Glendon College, York University.
