"... as the first project of its kind, European Perspectives on Men and Masculinities is an impressive achievement in its own right, and one hopes it will generate new research ..." - Christopher E. Forth, US, Men and Masculinities, 2008 "This book will be of interest to a variety of scholars, especially those whose working terrain is national and regional and who are looking for a decent overview of studies, research issues and methodological caveats. It is a sound accomplishment to have outlined the perspective that men's endurance and men's creation of social problems are commonly, be it in variable and complex ways, intertwined." - Diederik F. Janssen, The Netherlands, Journal of Men's Studies "The book might become a convenient handbook for researchers, teachers and students - dealing with social problems, gender, work, new family types etc." - Niels Rosendal Jensen, Denmark, European Journal of Social Work
