This collection undertakes the study of ecopolitical movements across the world from a critical standpoint. Through its use of terms like 'primitiveness' and 'pristine nature', conservation ideology perpetuates a patronising approach towards indigenous peoples alongside the unequal distribution of power and wealth. Eeva Berglund is a Lecturer in Anthropology at Goldsmiths' College, University of London.
