Escape From Planet Cancer

Everybody has a cancer story. This is Liam Brookes'. Liam is a musician, a wannabe writer, and a café worker who believes his greatest contribution to society is keeping caffeine-addicted strangers from total meltdown. But beneath the sarcasm and self-deprecation lies a man quietly unraveling. After losing his mum to cancer, Liam is left carrying a grief so heavy it threatens to swallow him whole. Faith feels fragile. Depression and loneliness loom large. And the future looks uncertain.Just when life seems beyond repair, small changes begin to spark hope. He walks away from a toxic church. Joins a writers 'group. Falls unexpectedly in love. And finally begins writing the novel he believes might help others navigating their own cancer journeys. But healing is never simple. Because alongside these new beginnings is a disturbing presence — a murderous, psychotic clown who follows Liam wherever he goes, blurring the lines between imagination, trauma, and reality. Escape From Planet Cancer is a raw, darkly humorous exploration of grief, faith, mental health, and survival. It's the story of a man whose world was turned upside down by loss — and who must confront his deepest fears in order to find his way forward. At its heart, this is a story about trauma. About hope. And about one person's desperate attempt to escape.
