English Silver Before the Civil War

Timothy Schroder FSA joined the Silver Department at Christie’s in 1976 and became Curator of Decorative Arts at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1984. Subsequent roles include founding curator of the Gilbert Collection at Somerset House and consultant curator at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has recently completed a term as President of the Silver Society. Recent publications include ‘A Marvel to Behold’: Gold and Silver at the Court of Henry VIII (2020).
