English Medium Instruction in Multilingual and Multicultural Universities

Professor Anne Holmen is the Director of the Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH). Her research focuses on languages-in-education in multilingual settings, including language policy studies at both institutional and individual level in higher education. One research area is student diversity and its role in the parallel language strategy of UCPH.Professor Birgit Henriksen is a teacher trainer and researcher in second language acquisition and foreign language pedagogy at the Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies at the University of Copenhagen. She was the founding director of the Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use at UCPH. Her main research interests are the teaching of vocabulary, EMI, and teacher cognition. Joyce Kling PhD is an Academic Language Consultant at the Centre for Internationalisation and Parallel Language Use at the University of Copenhagen. She was the founding director of the Language Center at Copenhagen Business School. Her research interests include EMI, language assessment, and teacher cognition. She currently serves on the Board of ICHLE (Integrating Content and Language in Higher Education).
