Dr. Mahmoud H. Abu Elella is a Lecturer in Polymer Science and Technology at the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, where he earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry. He recently served as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Reading, UK (2021–2025). His research focuses on designing advanced biopolymeric systems—including grafted copolymers, hydrogels, scaffolds, nanocomposites, lipid nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, and polymer‑coated carriers—for biomedical applications. With over 12 years of research experience, he has also developed mucoadhesive inhalable polymeric powders using innovative spray‑drying techniques for pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. Dr. Abu Elella has published more than 45 peer‑reviewed articles and 24 book chapters, achieving an h‑index of 26. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Most‑Cited Scientists (Stanford University, 2023–2024) and serves as a frequent peer reviewer for leading journals. In 2024, he contributed to four books with major scientific publishers.Sabu Thomas is a Professor and Director of the International and Interuniversity Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India.
