His research focuses on the convergence between electricity and telecommunications as part of the low-carbon energy transition and in the economic evaluation of climate action, particularly for industrial companies and infrastructure operators. He was a member of the World Council of the International Energy Economics Association and of the team of experts that supported the Citizens' Climate Convention. He is co-editor of the journal Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment and a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Management and Network Economics. He has been a visiting professor at a number of foreign institutions and has widely cited articles in various journals in the field of energy economics and policy. He has published over 200 publications of different types with translated work in multiple languages.
