He is New Century Excellent Talents Project of Ministry of Education of China and the Hundred Talents Project of Liaoning province. He has been titled with Dawn Scholar of Northeastern University. His research interests include modeling and optimizing operation of energy internet, comprehensive complementary optimization of multi-energy, and network control of distributed generation systems, etc. As the principle investigator, Prof. Sun was awarded more than ten Prizes for his researches.
