Dieter D. Genske, Hochschule NordhausenDieter D. Genske accepted a call to TU Delft (Netherlands) in 1994, then moved to ETH Lausanne (Switzerland), before finally helping to establish the new curriculum at the young university in Nordhausen, Thuringia. He was involved in major projects such as the new parliamentary quarter in Berlin, the International Building Exhibition IBA Emscher Park, the project "Basel on the way to the 2000-Watt Society," the International Building Exhibition IBA Hamburg, and the Lake Constance-Alp Rhine Energy Region BAER. In 2012, he and his team received the European Solar Prize.Prof. Dr. Ariane Ruff, Hochschule NordhausenAriane Ruff was appointed to Hochschule Nordhausen in 2019. She represents the Chair of Urban Resources, which is part of the Faculty of Engineering. Since April 2019, she has been leading the newly founded Thuringian Innovation Center for Materials (ThIWert). She has extensive experience and expertise in the areas of land and energy management, sustainable spatial development, handling geodata and GIS systems, as well as circular economy, recycling, and resource efficiency.
