"The book is well organized and generally well written, with fewer overlaps and disagreements between authors than is normally seen in a multiauthored book. This book provides a welcome review of the role of hormones in fetal lung maturation. The book succeeds in appealing to pulmonary and developmental biologists."-Doody's Health Sciences Book Review Journal "This book will be welcomed by neonatologists, pediatric endocrinologists consulting on neonatal wards, obstetricians and last but not least pulmonologists. To the best of my knowledge it brings together for the the first time the latest knowledge on the role of hormones especially glucocorticoids on lung development and surfactant production." -Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology & Metabolism.
