Ellis Cashmore is Professor of Culture, Media and Sport at Staffordshire University's School of Health. Earlier positions include Professor of Sociology at the University of Tampa, Florida and Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. His previous publications include Dictionary of Race and Ethnic Studies, The Black Culture Industry and Racism: Essential Readings.
