"... this encyclopedia is excellent: comprehensive, international, clear, to the point and politically aware. Every student teacher should have access to it, and it will be an essential resource for policy makers who want to rely on solid research rather than - as so often in this area - emotion and prejudice." Raphael Salkie in The Times Higher Education Supplement "An extremely valuable contribution to the field, this encyclopedia should be included in the collection of every serious academic library." T. Reagan in Choice, 36:1 (1998)
