Stephen P. Ferris is Dean and Professor of Finance at the Miller College of Business, Ball State University. His research interests include the regulation of capital markets, corporate governance, bankruptcy, and legal analysis of corporate activity. Areas of his recent research include corporate governance, corporate bankruptcy, executive compensation, and corporate disclosure. He has also done research in the areas of financial markets and financial theory. He has published over a hundred articles in several top journals including American Economic Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies and Financial Management.Anil K. Makhija serves as dean and John W. Berry, Sr. Chair in Business of the Max M. Fisher College of Business. Makhija is recognized as an expert in the field of finance, particularly capital structure, corporate governance, and valuation, and has more than 20 years of experience in academic leadership roles. He has a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MBA from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
