Sarah worked in education policy for over 20 years, has been a children's book reviewer and has a Bachelor of Arts (English) and postgraduate qualifications in early childhood education.Following an extensive career in print and marketing design, Lesley now works across children's picture books, private commissions, and commercial illustration.Passionate about experimentation, Lesley uses a combination of vibrant pencil, pastel and ink and is never afraid to stretch the boundaries of techniques. The intricate 'micro-worlds' and detail within Lesley's work is fast becoming her feature trademark. Weaving hidden surprises, not always seen first glance, is a quirk inspired by such great artists such as Frida Kahlo and Graeme Base.
