"One can never untangle the performance from the printed poetry. Both are an exploration of looking and being seen, of the confronting nature of being known."Naomi WoodWhy take a dying bee to an exhibition of flowers? Why do starlings do that? Why do we gather together to laugh at ourselves? In this poetry collection, spoken word performer and theatre maker Naomi Wood ponders these and more: "This is a quest to the edge of solitude, a free fall into the open mouth of the Other." An enchanting alchemist of words and their performative potential, Naomi Wood has previously been published by Backlash Press and in Mslexia, and she has toured the UK with her solo shows Gobbess and Monster, with previous shows at Edinburgh Fringe and Glastonbury Festival.REVIEWS"..force of nature"Brighton and Hove News review of live performance in Gobbess"..pure magic"Samantha Harman's live performance review of Gobbess for Discover Brighton
