Dr. Chunhui Li is a Professor at the College of Environmental Sciences, Beijing Normal University. He is also the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Water and Sediment Sciences. Prof. Li has dedicated his career to research in water resources evaluation and planning, water environment simulation, ecological restoration, and integrated watershed management. He has led and participated in over 40 national and international research projects, including major national development plans and the National Natural Science Foundation. Prof. Li has published more than 250 journal papers, with over 150 SCI-indexed publications, and has contributed to 11 textbooks and books. He holds more than 20 patents and software copyrights. His achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including the First-Class Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education (2005), the Dayu Water-S&T Award from the Ministry of Water Resources, China (2013 and 2022), and several other prestigious national and provincial awards. Dr. Xiong Zhou is an Assistant Professor at Beijing Normal University, specializing in hydroclimate systems, climate change modeling, and water resources management. His research focuses on the intersection of climate change and water resource systems, with a particular emphasis on hydrological modeling, water scarcity, and optimization strategies. He has published numerous papers in leading journals on hydrological impacts under climate variability, the application of system dynamics for water management, and sustainability solutions in water use. Dr. Zhou’s expertise in regional climate modeling (WRF, RegCM) and hydrological simulation (VIC, SWAT) underpins his ongoing projects, which aim to optimize water resources management under uncertain climate scenarios, specifically in regions facing increasing water stress.
