Dr Guy Cuthbertson has been a Teaching Fellow in the School of English at the University of St Andrews since 2007. He attended St Andrews as an undergraduate before studying at Oxford University, taking the MPhil and DPhil at The Queen's College, Oxford. His doctoral thesis was on Edward Thomas. He then taught at Oxford University, as a lecturer at St Edmund Hall and at Merton College; he has also been a lecturer at Swansea University. With Professor Lucy Newlyn, he is General Editor of a six-volume edition of Edward Thomas's prose for Oxford University Press. For this edition, he edited Thomas's Autobiographies and he is co-editing England and Wales. Guy is also writing a biography of Wilfred Owen for Yale University Press, and he edited, with Lucy Newlyn, Branch-Lines: Edward Thomas and Contemporary Poetry (London: Enitharmon, 2007).
