Echoes of Yesterday

Peter Johnson, after studying at Mansfield College, Oxford and serving for five years in the Parachute Brigade, spent thirty-two years in the teaching profession. His final post was as Headmaster of Millfield School in Somerset. He started writing in retirement and has published two novels – It’s Cold at the End of the Bed and Plot One. He lives in Stoke Gabriel in Devon. Emma Johnson is twelve years old. She has been an enthusiastic writer of prose and poetry since she was nine and won early recognition for both as a prize-winner in the 11 and Under category at The Best of Burnham Book Festivals in 2024 and 2025. In 2024 she also received a top 100 commendation in the Foyles Young Poets of the Year Awards for her poem ‘G.O.A.T’.
