Dr. Soojin Park specializes in development strategies, governance, and institutional change, with a regional focus on East Asia. With over two decades of experience in government, think tanks, and journalism, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to global policy challenges and the political economy of transformation. Her research examines how states innovate, adapt, and build resilience amid shifting geopolitical and economic landscapes, with emphasis on development dynamics, institutional capacity, and the economic statecraft of authoritarian regimes. Dr. Park is a non-resident fellow at the Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies at Johns Hopkins University; previously served as a Public Policy and Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. She holds a doctorate from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.
