His research is devoted to the visual and literary representation of otherness in Europe in the late medieval and early modern periods.Elena Paulino Montero, Ph.D. (2015), Complutense University of Madrid, is Associate Professor of Art History at UNED (Madrid, Spain). Her research focuses on the artistic patronage of the nobility and monarchy in late medieval Castile and on the artistic exchanges between Castile, al-Andalus, and the European Christian kingdoms.
