Margarete Kohlenbach taught in Germany and France before coming to England, where she now teaches German at the University of Sussex. Her recent publications include Walter Benjamin: Self-Reference and Religiosity (2002) as well as several articles on Romanticism, Twentieth-Century German literature and culture, and Critical Theory. Raymond Geuss studied and taught at various universities in Germany and the USA, before coming to Cambridge, where he teaches in the Faculty of Philosophy. His recent publications include History and Illusion in Politics (2001), Public Goods, Private Goods (2001).
