JonathanBerg is a photographer and author with a deep appreciation and understanding ofBirmingham. Since moving to the city in 1978, he has combined a career in theNHS with and honorary appointments at the University of Birmingham withphotography. His photographic exploration of Birmingham began in 1990, leadingto thirteen books capturing its changing landscape in photos with an infromative accompanying text.His firstbook, Positively Birmingham, became a popular coffee table title, running tofive editions. More recently, he has explored the city's heritage through bookssuch as Invention & Design: Elkington of Birmingham, which highlightsJewellery Quarter innovation, and Birmingham's Public Art, a striking visualguide to the city's sculptural and mural art.
