Assoc. Prof. Gülüm Şener is a communication scholar working at the intersection of digital media, social movements, and feminist politics. She graduated from Galatasaray University, completed her MA at Stendhal University–Grenoble III, and earned her PhD in Communication Sciences at Marmara University. She was a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics (2019–2020), researching digital feminist activism in Turkey. She has published widely on digital activism, social media, and digital gender-based violence, and is currently an Associate Professor in the New Media Department at 15 November Cyprus University.
