Dominique Jarrassé is professor emeritus of Contemporary Art History at the University of Bordeaux. He teaches at the École du Louvre in Paris. His research covers the art of the Prix de Rome, colonial art, and the ethnicisation of art history. He conducted many years of research in Tunisia, focusing on Jewish heritage and colonial-era art. While there, he identified the works created by Wassily Kandinsky and Gabriele Münter on their journey in 1905.Isabelle Jansen has been curator and managing director of the Gabriele Münter and Johannes Eichner Foundation since 2011. Her research focuses on Expressionism, in particular the art of Gabriele Münter and German-French relations in art.
