From the reviews: "This review of the physiology of diastolic function and the pathology of diastolic heart failure focuses on diagnosis by noninvasive means. ... appropriate primarily for clinicians, but is suitable for scientists as well. In my opinion, the book will be used by noninvasive cardiologists, heart failure specialists, and fellows training in general cardiology. ... Overall, this is an excellent compilation of well referenced and individual essay type reviews ... . I will use it extensively when lecturing on the topic ... ." (Christopher J. White, Doody's Review Service, April, 2008) "Diastolic Heart Failure reviews all the important issues that are related to this disease. It is a superb book. ... a well-written, readable, and concise yet comprehensive book that covers all the important aspects of diastolic heart failure. Included are remarkably contemporary reviews of different aspects of noninvasive and invasive evaluation of diastolic function. ... The editors of this book are to be complimented for a timely and comprehensive review of a topic whose importance will continue to grow." (Gerard P. Aurigemma, The New England Journal of Medicine, July, 2008)
