FRED DALLMAYR, is a political theorist specializing in modern and contemporary European thought. He recently published Alternative Visions: Paths in the Global Village (Rowman & Littlefield, 1998). He has been the recipient of NEH and Fulbright fellowships, and has been a visiting professor at the New School and the University of Hamburg.
