Professor Jerzy Klijanienko, born in 1960, received his medical degree (MD) from the Medical University of Wroclaw, Poland, in 1984 and a specialisation in surgical pathology from the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris VI, Paris, France, in 1987. He completed his qualification in clinical oncology in 2001. He was a resident at the Gustave Roussy Institute, Villejuif from 1985 to 1990. As a visiting pathologist, Dr Klijanienko worked at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA and at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. From 1991-1992 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas, Anderson Cancer Center. Since 1992, Dr Klijanienko has been working as a senior consultant in the Department of Clinical Cytopathology and Pathology, Institut Curie, Paris, France. He received his Ph.D. in 2010, the title of Habilitated Doctor in 2012, and was appointed Full Professor of Medical Sciences by the President of Poland in 2019. He is a member of the European Society of Pathology and the International Academy of Cytology. He is the author of 3 books on pathology, nearly 30 chapters and more than 250 scientific publications, mainly on cytopathology. He was President of the 43rd European Congress of Cytology in Wroclaw in 2021 and President of the European Federation of Cytology Societies in 2019-2021.Since 1990, Dr. Beatrix Cochand Priollet has been a founding member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance, where she was responsible for the "Papsmears Committee" until 2007. From 2007 onwards, she has been overseeing the "Committee for Cytopathology." Additionally, she is an active member of the European Federation of Cytological Societies, serving on the Scientific Committee as co-chair and executive member, and has held the position of General Secretary since May 2018. Her involvement with the European Society of Pathology includes being responsible for the Working Group Cytopathology from 2014 to 2018. She also served as President of the Société Française de Cytologie Clinique from 2011 to 2018.Dr. Cochand Priollet is a member of several professional societies, including the French Society of Cytology (where she served as President from 2011 to 2017), the French Society of Pathology, the French Division of the International Academy of Pathology, the Belgian Society of Cytology, the International Academy of Cytology, and the Papanicolaou Society of Cytology.In recognition of her contributions, she helds honorary titles such as membership in the IAC Education and Quality Assurance Committee of the International Academy of Cytology, honorary membership of the Belgian Society of Cytology, and a position on the executive board of the Papanicolaou Society.Dr. Cochand Priollet is a founding member and responsible for the Inter-University Diploma of Cytopathology since 1989. She oversees Cytopathology education in the Pathology specialty, Endocrine education in the Pathology specialty, and Pathology education for medical students. Additionally, she is responsible for continuing education at the SFCC and for the University Diploma of Quality Assurance, which was created in 2014.Throughout her career, she has authored 140 publications, with 92 of them in English. She has presented 192 proofred papers and invited lectures, contributed to 11 book chapters, and coordinated two books on cytopathology published by Elsevier.Dr Olivier Choussy, born in 1971, graduated in otorhinolaryngology from the medical university of ROUEN, FRANCE, in 2000. From 1996 to 2000, he was a resident at the Rouen University Hospital. In 2001, he completed his qualification in ENT oncology at the Catholic University of Leuven at the Mont-Godinne Hospital. Dr Choussy worked at the Rouen University Hospital until 2016. After a short experience at the Mathilde Clinic in Rouen, he took the head of the ENT department at the Curie Institute. Since 2020, he is head of the surgical department of the Curie Institute.Dr. Choussy is specialized in larynx cancer, external and endoscopic partiel laryngeal surgeries and vocal rehabililtation after total laryngectomies.He's a member of several French societies (société française d’ORL, société française de chirurgie cervico-faciale) and french clinical groups (GETTEC, GORTEC).He is author of 75 publications (63 in english) and 10 books chapters (rapports de la société française d’ORL, educational encyclopedy).Professor Wojciech Golusiński is Head of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the Greater Poland Cancer Centre, Poznan Medical University and Past President of the European Head and Neck Society (term 2023-27).For many years he has been the most recognised Polish ENT surgeon dealing with head and neck cancer treatment in Europe. He is the initiator and founder of the Polish Head and Neck Society - an interdisciplinary scientific society. For the last 4 years he has been the President of the European Head and Neck Society - the largest European scientific society (over 2900 members), which brings together representatives of all specialties involved in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with head and neck cancer. He remains on the EHNS Board as Past President. Co-authored European recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer, developed by members of three societies: EHNS, ESTRO and ESMO. Author of over 300 articles, reports and lectures published in Polish and foreign journals. They focus mainly on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of head and neck cancer. His special interests include publications on the role of HPV virus in oropharyngeal cancer and genetic and molecular studies evaluating the biology of head and neck cancer. His other research activities include head and neck surgery, with particular emphasis on reconstructive options after major surgery, endoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Professor Wojciech Golusiński is the initiator, author and organiser of the National Head and Neck Cancer Prevention Programme. In 2016 he was appointed by the Polish Ministry of Health as an expert in head and neck cancer.
