This book develops, evaluates and refines a cloud service relationship theory that explains how cloud users’ uncertainties arise in these relationships and how they can be mitigated. To that end, the book employs principal-agent theory and the concepts of bounded rationality and social embeddedness. Jan C. Huntgeburth is a research and teaching assistant at the School of Business and Economics of Augsburg University, Germany. He holds a MSc in business administration and information systems from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Prior to his current position he was a research and teaching assistant at University of Mannheim, Germany, from 2010 to 2013. In 2012 he was visiting scholar and McBride Fellow at Hankamer School of Business, Baylor University, Waco, Texas, US. In 2013 he was a visiting scholar at the College of Business, Washington State University, Pullman, US. His research field is the investigation of organizational and individual implications in the adoption of novel distributed cloud computing concepts. His work has been published in international journals and at leading conferences in the field.
