Rogerio Atem de Carvalho is a Bachelor in Informatics, Master and Doctor in Production Engineering, and MBA in Innovation Management. He is a Professor of Informatics at the Instituto Federal Fluminense (Brazil), Director of Technological Innovation, and Consultant at TecCampos Incubator. He holds a National Council for Science and Technology (CNPq) fellowship in ICT Technological Development. He is a Mentor in the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) Mentorship Program. He is a co-author of the book Beautiful Code, translated into several languages and Best Computing Book of 2007. Co-founder and researcher of the Centre for Embedded and Aerospace Systems, he was a member of the Critical Design Review Committee of the international space mission QB50, and editor of the book Nano-Satellites: Space and Ground Technologies, Operations and Economics. Member of the IEEE P1228 Standard for Software Safety Working Group. He works in an interdisciplinary way in Informatics applied to Engineering, having three patents granted and another twelve registered. He is a consultant for global companies in the areas of ICT, Sustainability, and Nanosatellites.
