Dental Notes

This book is devided into two parts: management advice for a fee for service dental practice and general dentistry clinical tips. The management section, which comprises about one-sixth of the notes, gives advice on: dentist-patient relationship; how to hire and manage the dental staff; the duties of the hygienist, front desk person and dental assistant; how to run the dental practice in an efficient and profitable manner. The cilnical tips section, which comprises the remainder of the book, describes actions the dentist can take to make different procedures more efficient, safer and less traumatic to the patient. There are chapters on exam, different types of restorative treatment, endodontics, periodontics and extractions.
