Dimitri Breda is professor of numerical analysis at the University of Udine, Italy, where he currently leads the Computational Dynamics Laboratory. His research interests are in the field of numerical and applied mathematical analysis, with particular reference to numerical methods for the stability analysis of delay differential and other classes of functional equations, with main applications in control engineering and population dynamics.Rossan Vermiglio is professor of numerical analysis at the University of Udine, Italy. Her research focuses on the numerical methods either for time-integration or for investigating the dynamics of evolution models described by functional equations mainly of retarded type, the computation of basic reproduction numbers for structured population models from ecology and epidemiology as well as the investigation of the effect of the uncertainties in the model parameters by means of the Polynomial Chaos Expansions.Jianhong Wu is a Canadian applied mathematician and the founding Director of the Laboratory for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at York University. He was the recipient of several important awards, among which the NSERC/Sanofi Industrial Research Chair in Vaccine Mathematics, Modelling and Manufacturing and the Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematical Society’s Research Prize. He is a Fields Institute Fellow. He is recognized for his expertise and contribution to nonlinear dynamics and delay differential equations, neural networks and pattern recognition, mathematical ecology and epidemiology, and big data analytics.
