Dante's Purgatorio

A sequel to Dantes Inferno (Carcanet, 2014), where Dante was relocated to the University of Essex, here the action shifts from Dantes island of Purgatory to Mersea Island in Essex. This is a reinvention of Dantes Purgatorio in the spirit of Joyces Ulysses, where Dantes cast is replaced with our contemporaries, from Allen Ginsberg and Samuel Beckett to Putin and Boris Johnson.
