Authors of Needle Felting Christmas (2024) Dace and Balchin offer readers more adorable projects to try at home. They teach readers how to needle felt—the process of shaping wool felt into a shape with a needle—with 20 appealing animal projects. Covering the basic tools needed to begin, the authors make it clear that these projects are beginner-friendly, and that readers will be able to pick up and put down projects at their convenience. The book includes basic techniques, like how to hold the needle to achieve different shapes (ball, oval, sausage). Also included are detailed instructions on how to create different animals with cute names like "Katie Koala," "Hootie Owl," "Bonny Bunny," and "Snuggly Sheep." Each project also provides a full description of the finished project sizes (offering a "baby" and a slightly larger size), needed materials, and step-by-step instructions with pictures; a shape template is included in the back of the book. This book is very detailed and engaging and is perfect for beginner felt artists.
