Salvador Marinaro holds a Ph.D. in Global Studies from Shanghai University and an M.A. in Creative Writing from Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero. His research focuses on cultural interactions between China and Latin America and the representation of East Asia in Latin American literature. Since 2019, he has been a faculty member at Fudan University, one of the leading institutions in East Asia. He has published in scientific journals across China, Latin America, and Europe, and his work has appeared in prominent media outlets such as BBC Mundo, South China Morning Post, and Le Monde Diplomatique. His writings have earned him several distinctions, including the Sub-40 Philosophy Prize for best essayist under 40. He is also the author of two fiction books. Marinaro is the co-editor of Chopsuey, a Spanish-language magazine focused on contemporary Chinese culture.
