Cuba: Order and Revolution will be the definitive study on twentieth century Cuba… To my mind, publication of the Domínguez book will do for Cuban studies what Merle Fainsod’s How Russia Is Ruled did for Soviet studies some two decades ago. In effect, it will become a landmark study.
